What book, or should I say which books, did you enjoy this summer? Tell me about them! I am looking for some new book to make Mrs. Kosa purchase for my classroom. Which authors should I focus on?? Which series do you love?? Hope to get some good ideas and options for others to read. Thanks for your help. Miss Stone

This summer i read multiple Archie Comics. They feature a wide variety of short stories the are interesting and thought evoking. Archie has many misadventures with numerous friends and character. All this leads to a captivating storyline that can evoke smiles and laughter in many readers, old and young. I also read many "Transworld Wakeboarding" magazines. The wide variety of authors and numerous ilustrations helps to captivate a reader and guide them further into the sport.

I read a book called Sarahs key. Its about a little 10 year old girl whos family is taken by the french police during the Holocaust. Before her family is forced out of their appartment, she hides her little brother Michael in a cubboard and locks it. She slips the key into her pocket and leaves. Her, her mother and her father where put into a giant stadium along with thousands of other Jews, mostly children. She undergoes many transports and other camps before her mother is taken away from her. She is left alone with all the other children and makes a friend around the same age. They break out of the camp and end up at an old farm house. The nazis come to the farm and Sarah is able to hide, however her friend is very ill and gets taken away. Eventually Sarah convinces the owners of the house to take her to France, to her home so she can get her brother. It turns out someone is living in the house and Micheal is dead. The book also follows the story of a young journalist who finds out she is tied to Sarah's story and digs into the past to learn more.
